In a significant push to enhance educational standards and support the ARISE Agenda of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor (Dr) Umo Eno, the Heal the Globe Corporation has extended educational support to public primary school pupils in Ikono Local Government Area.

Led by the team leader, Mr. Rustom Alexander, the Isaac James Child Creativity Revolution initiative visited three public primary schools in the region, providing essential educational materials and boosting morale.

The first stop was at Government Primary School, Nung Ukim, Ikot Etefia, where 18 pupils, spanning primary one to six (three from each class), received educational materials. The school’s Headmistress, Mrs. Grace Etukudoh, expressed profound gratitude to the sponsor, Mr. Isaac James, and his team for their thoughtful inclusion of her school in the programme.

Mrs. Etukudoh highlighted pressing challenges faced by the school, including inadequate infrastructure and limited resources, urging the government to prioritize improved provisions for both pupils and staff to create a conducive learning environment.

At Methodist School, Ikot Ayan Ndiya, the Headmistress, Mrs. Happiness Akpan, warmly welcomed the team and commended their efforts to uplift the quality of education in Ikono. She described the initiative as a transformative step toward improving the lives of pupils.

The final visit was to Methodist School, Osuk Ediene, where the Headmistress, Mrs. Alice Akpan, expressed deep appreciation to the sponsor for his impactful gesture. She assured that the assistance would significantly influence the academic journey of the pupils while calling on the state government to regulate the proliferation of private nursery and primary schools in the area.

Mrs. Akpan further appealed to other stakeholders to support efforts aimed at repositioning education in Ikono for the collective benefit of the community.

Speaking on behalf of the sponsor, Mr. Isaac James, the team leader, Mr. Alexander, lauded the commitment of academic staff in fostering engaging learning environments.

"It is a distinct honour to connect with you today, the future leaders of our society,” he said.

Rustom also praised the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno, which prioritizes education as a cornerstone of development, encouraging pupils to strive for excellence and unlock their full potential.

The event, marking the first phase of the Isaac James Child Creativity Revolution programme, was attended by members of the team who reiterated their dedication to empowering young learners.
