This legislation follows a report presented by the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Committee on Education, Hon. (Mrs.) Kenim Onofiok, also a member representing Oron/Odung Uko State Constituency. Mrs. Onofiok explained that the bill will provide advanced teacher education programmes and opportunities for children in the state and beyond seeking admission into degree-awarding institutions.
