 NYA - ETOK URGES A 'IBOM CITIZENS TO INVEST, DISCLOSES FG 'S PLANS ON   HOUSING SCHEME

In a bid to end ignorance of knowledge and as well sensitise the general public on  federal government's plans in housing through the Federal House Authority, the Executive Director, Estate Services, Arc. Ezekiel  Nya - Etok  has urged Akwa Ibom citizens to invest passion, suffering and  commitment, while advising them not to  monkey with  the opportunity of owning a house in less than two years.


The housing expert, made this known recently  during a chat session with journalists at his housing estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.


According to him, the meeting was crucial to ensure apt  propagation of the federal government's intents, which is to provide affordable housing in all the states of the federation for interested Nigerians.


Nya -Etok, further reiterated the federal government's readiness to tailor torn hopes of citizens, while eulogised President  Bola Tinubu for  giving consent to pursue the vision of providing homes for Nigerians.  He said it is concerned to tackle future issues that may arise regarding housing scheme.



The renowned estate and housing boss, said " in as much as the federal government is trying to clear spaces for crucial infrastructures and affordable house ownership, employment of manpower, labour and improved productivity, there are certain fundamentals that most never be overlooked.


This initiative is fashioned to unbolt individual funds, by providing 25 years mortgages at a negotiable and most relatable value. 


In two years maximum, some young people will have their studio apartments, one bed room, two bedroom apartments.  In retrospect, it would have been seen as impossible, but there is a great possibility to gain from this initiative."



He tasked Akwa Ibom people to brace -up and as well set standards for themselves, warned against jeopardising with the opportunity of becoming a house owner, " once portal for registration is open, everyone should key in and benefit now, while hoping for tomorrow.


While disclosing the federal and state governments collaboration so far,  Nya - Etok, mentioned that Akwa Ibom State  Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has given a land for the housing unit which is situated along  Airport Road in Uruan Local Government  Area, Akwa Ibom State, mentioned that preparations have been made to kick - start the project as soonest.


He commended the leadership of Uruan council  for exhibiting maturity and for agreeing for a land in their area to be used for the project.
