 A'IBOM STATE PDP EXCO, CHAPTER AND WARD CHAIRMEN MEET, MULL OVER STRATEGIES FOR LG  ELECTIONS, CONGRESSES 


Ahead of the forthcoming 2024 Local Government elections and Party congresses, the State Executive Committee members of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State, have met with chapter and ward chairmen to mull over strategies for a successful outing in the forthcoming Local Government elections in October and the party congresses which is billed to commence  Saturday 27th July, 2024.


At a meeting presided over by the State Chairman of the PDP, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan,  chapter chairmen of the party, from the 31 Local Government Areas and ward chairmen from the 368 wards in the state took time to give the situation report in their various domains.



The State PDP Boss, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Akpan explained to state officers, chapter and ward chairmen that for the PDP congresses which will produce, the congresses to elect officials for the Ward Executive Committee.


Rt. Hon. Akpan said in keeping with the now entrenched tradition of the PDP in Akwa Ibom State to emerge success in series of elections, the party has already fashioned out foolproof strategies that will bring flawless victory to the party in the forthcoming local government elections, calling on the party structure at the grassroots and the state to get ready to support the candidates of the PDP when they emerge.


He said the PDP in the State will continue to communicate emerging information that will aid the conduct of the congress as received from the national headquarters of the party.



The Akwa Ibom State PDP Helmsman used the opportunity to reiterate the need for stakeholders, elders, and members of the party to keep the sustenance of peace in their domains and the progress of their Local Government Areas and communities as top priority while taking decisions throughout the period of Congresses and Local Elections.


Meanwhile, councillorship aspirants on the platform PDP have continued to throng the Party Secretariat to pick up their Expression of Interest and Nomination form as the Wednesday, July 24, 2024 deadline draws nigh.
