Dr. Bright Archibong said this recently at Ikot Ibiok in Eket Local Government Area, during a chat with female councillorship candidates, some past councilors and present female critical officers that served the local government council and some who are still serving.

Frank Archibong, Eket Transition Chairmen, Rt. Hon. Akaniyene Tommey, and other key stakeholders in the local government for standing by the will of the governor.

"I want to urge our female candidates  that you must not disappoint the electorates, if you eventually win the election. Try to replicate the governor's governance style and remember the ARISE Agenda of Governor  Eno," she added.

Also speaking,  the former Transition Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Abigail Edohoeket, thanked Dr. Bright Archibong, for preparing the minds of the incoming female councillors for the tasks ahead, while  encouraging them to use the opportunity to develop themselves and their communities and as well register their names in good light on the rock of ages.

In the same vein, Hon. Gladys Bassey, Hon. Comfort Nsima, Hon. Enobong Akpan and Hon. Emem Francis also admonished the candidates to collaborate with their leaders and remain loyal to the government of the day.

During the interactive meeting, the candidates from their various wards took turns to express their gratitude to the governor for his commitment to gender inclusivity in his administration.

They acknowledged the Governor's efforts for increasing female councillors in Eket local government to five members and also thanked Hon. Frank Archibong, Rt. Hon. Akaniyene Tommey, and other stakeholders for standing by the Governor's decision.

They also outlined their plans to work collaboratively with the governor's administration to engender more laudable landmark projects and indelible footprints  in their respective wards.
