Federated Chapel Applauds  Etinan Council Boss on Appointment of Member as PS

The Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, applauded the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Council (LGC), Hon. Uko Umoh for appointing seasoned journalist, Comrade Otobong Otobong Nsekpong as Press Secretary (PS) of the Council.


This was made known recently, during Federated Chapel's October congress at the NUJ Press Center, Uyo.


The Chapel Chairman, Comrade Nsibiet John, said the appointment of Nsekpong demonstrates Umoh's commitment to transparency and effective communication.


"We are thrilled that Hon. Umoh has recognised the importance of journalism professionals in leadership positions," Comr Nsibiet John stated. 


"This appointment will enhance the Council's communication strategies and foster a stronger relationship with the media."


Comr Otobong Nsekpong, the appointed journalist and Chapel Auditor, brings vast experience to the Council's media operations.


The Union admonished Nsekpong to discharge his duties professionally, with high integrity and as well upholding the ethics of the journalism profession.
