A'Ibom Women Affairs Commissioner, Charges Women to Actively Participate in Governance

Addressing the group, she stated the importance of women's involvement in decision-making processes, starting from their homes. "Governance begins at home," she said. "Women should participate in decision-making, health management, and take interest in their surroundings."
Dr Adiakpan urged women to stand up for themselves, recognise their strengths, and work on their weaknesses. "Conduct yourselves properly, have role models, and learn from them," she advised.
To reduce the menace of violence against women in the society, the Commissioner advised women not to subject theirselves to unnecessary abuse rather to speak up and be guided.
Women Commissioner, told the women to work hard, expand their businesses, advising that in the world today women excel in all profession and as well advised on the power of working in group to grow from small to medium enterprise, self grooming and to learn how to give back to the society.
Earlier, the group coordinator, Hon. Stella Archibong, explained that Arise Golden Movement aims to support the Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno ARISE Agenda initiative and his completion agenda come 2027.
While the visit was to introduce the group and acknowledge the Commissioner's efforts.
The visit culminated in an Award of Honor presentation to the Commissioner, Dr. Adiakpan by the group, recognizing her dedication to the state, women's empowerment and commitment to promoting women's participation in governance and community development.
