  A'Ibom Women Affairs Commissioner, Charges Women to Actively Participate in Governance By Explicit News Dr Adiakpan posing with the visiting group Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Akwa Ibom State,  Dr Ini Adiakpan has recently play host to the Arise Golden Movement, women's group at the Ministry's conference room. ARISE YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PORTAL NOT PARTY AFFILIATES - GOV ENO ASSURES YOUTHS By Mfonobong Ekanem Gov. Umo Eno Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor (Dr.) Umo Eno has assured youths of the state that Arise Youth Employment Portal will not be used in connection with party affiliates.  He noted that all party affiliates will be kept aside not allowing it to divide the youths and people of the state. The Governor made this known recently during the launching of the Arise Youth Employment Portal held at Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo. "Arise Youth Employment Portal will not be used base on party affiliates, when vetting for data, they will not ask for political party, any body asking for party you belong, report such person, when it time for politics you will decide which party you work for". Akwa Ibom Parliament Passes LG (Administration) Amendment Bill   By Julius Nsikak Elder Idung Akwa Ibom State Parliament recently passed the Local Government (Administration) Amendment Bill into law during its legislative session. The bill, titled "A Bill For A Law To Amend The Local Government (Administration) Law, Cap 90, Laws Of Akwa Ibom State 2022 (As Amended) And For Other Matters Connected Therewith," was sponsored by Rt. Hon. (Elder) Mfon Idung, member representing Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency. To facilitate the bill's second reading, a motion was moved by Deputy Majority Leader, Rt. Hon. Otobong Bob (Nsit Ubium) and seconded by Chief Whip, Rt. Hon.  Governor  Eno Cautions LG Chairmen on Autonomy Misuse By Explicit News Gov. Eno Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has urged newly sworn-in local government chairmen and deputies to avoid misinterpreting their autonomy, emphasising synergy among government tiers.  Speaking at the Government House, Uyo, recently during the chairmen's swearing-in ceremony, the governor stressed that no government arm can operate independently. Eno congratulated the chairmen on their electoral victory, reminding them that autonomy does not equate to separate entities from the state government.  He stated the importance of aligning their actions and policies with the state's governance blueprint, the ARISE Agenda.  AKISIEC Disowns Fake Returning Officer, Declares APC's Ntiedo Usoro Winner in Essien Udim By Explicit News The controversy surrounding the chairmanship election results in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has been resolved.  The Akwa Ibom Independent Electoral Commission (AKISIEC) declared Ntiedo Effiong Usoro of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the Chairman-elect. Initially, a viral video showed Professor Inyang Ating from the University of Uyo announcing the results, with Ntiedo of APC scoring 686 votes and Engr. Enobong Patrick Friday of PDP garnering 55,612 votes.  However, AKISIEC's Executive Chairman, Elder Aniedi Ikoiwak, disowned Professor Ating as fake and not appointed by the commission.
